Prior to joining TMC, Dagfinn spent 15 years at sea, during this time serving in all the ranks up to Master. He also served as a Navigator on Royal Norwegian Navy Submarines.

He served as Master offshore for more than 5 years, commanding Dynamic Positioned (DP) vessels (specializing diving, ROV, sub-sea, Remote Operated Vehicle operations), sub sea construction and FPSO installation and support), wreck removals, and Anchor Handlers/Supply vessels (AHTS) carrying out numerous oil and gas rig-moves.

Dagfinn came ashore in 2011 and prior to joining TMC worked for a leading Marine Consultancy company in Singapore as a Marine Surveyor, Rig Mover and Marine Warranty Surveyor.
