Dagfinn Bakken joins TMC Marine Pte

TMC welcomes Dagfinn to the team.
Dagfinn has been a marine surveyor and rig mover with Noble Denton. Prior to coming ashore he was Master of construction support vessels involved in a wide range of activities from diving, subsea construction and cable lay. He was also Master of anchor handlers and platform supply vessels. He has a wide range of experience in many offshore vessel types, mostly fitted with DP Systems.

Recent Appointments
B OCEANIA
TMC has been appointed on the B OCEANIA casualty off the coast of Malaysia in the Malacca Straits on behalf of Owners and P&I Club. The vessel sank following a collision on 29 July 2011. Smit Salvage took off the bunkers under an LOF-SCOPIC contract and Mammoet Salvage has been awarded the wreck removal contract.
RENA
TMC was appointed on the RENA casualty off the coast of New Zealand on behalf of Owners and P&I Club to render salvage and technical advice. The grounding occurred on 6th October 2011 and salvage services are being rendered to the hull and cargo by Svitzer Salvage under an LOF-SCOPIC contract.
HYUNDAI CONFIDENCE cw PACIFIC CARRIER
TMC was appointed by Nippon Salvage on the collision between PACFIC CARRIER and HYUNDAI CONFIDENCE which occurred in the Korea Straits on 13 December 2011. Both vessels were locked together following a high speed collision and separation of the two vessels required careful appreciation of the damage sustained by both vessels.
Yusuf Soomro joins TMC
1st December 2011
TMC welcomes Yusuf Soomro to the team.
Yusuf joins us from the Marine Accident Investigation Branch, where he investigated all types of marine accidents, including collisions, groundings, near- misses, contacts with fixed floating objects, foundering, and occupational injuries.
Yusuf has also has experience on general cargo, mini bulk carriers and Ro-Ro vessels carrying a variety of packaged, project and bulk cargoes.
